Privacy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

In short: this website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, embeds no content from other websites and has no forms or comments. I do not collect any data about visitors. The only processing of personal data happens at the hosting provider, GitHub, as described below.

Who is responsible

Mirko Zichichi, contact: mirko.zichichi AT pm.me. I am the controller for this website within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR.

Hosting: GitHub Pages

The website is served by GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. (88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA; in the EU: GitHub B.V., Amsterdam). When you open a page, your browser connects to GitHub’s servers, which record technical data such as your IP address, the date and time, the requested page, the referring page and browser information. GitHub uses these data to deliver the website and to keep its service secure and free from abuse; I do not receive or have access to them.

Light/dark mode preference

If you use the light/dark switch, your browser remembers your choice in its session storage for the current visit. It is deleted when you close the tab and is never sent to me or to anyone else. Storing it is strictly necessary to provide the function you asked for, so no consent is needed (Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC; § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG in Germany; Art. 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code).

This website links to publishers, repositories and other sites. Nothing is loaded from them until you follow a link; once you do, the privacy policy of that website applies.

Contacting me

If you write to me by email, I use your address and message only to reply and do not pass them on to anyone (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Your rights

Under Art. 15–22 GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. As I hold no data about visitors, requests about the hosting logs are best addressed to GitHub. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example:
